Rear Speakers for 93 Interstate

Postby Used2gofast » Wed Sep 08, 2010 10:08 am

Do they even make'em? What's the general consensus? All the ones I found on eBay, etc. say "will not fit the Interstate". Why?

I've got a set I haven't put on yet, got the wiring and the fader control... but have yet to tackle the job... the schematic says there is or was at one time a kit for this.. I found a plug under the left pocket.. had to remove the left lower fairing piece to see it but didn't really inspect it that could be the speaker hook up, not sure...I've seen an interstate with rear speakers that worked... wish I had of picked his mind a little before he left...
I also have a 93 Interstate... but I had to do away with the AM/FM it was toast from the get go, (bought the bike used... and installed am/fm/cassett works great just don't have the LCD with clock.. didn't plug in the accessory jack the am/fm had... that's another function on this radio... but it works.. Mine has the saddlebag led lights, that alternate blinking with the turn signals, trunk lights on side... front etc..... no reflectors... just don't have reverse or a compressor...

1500 interstate and aspencades did not come from the factory with rear speakers. check http://www.cyclemax.com or http://www.wingstuff.com to see if they still sell the kit to add rear speakers to yours

I just took my 1992 Aspencade to the local Honda dealer, and he installed the rear speaker set. Sounds great, and really makes a difference on hearing the music.
