Brake & Clutch line dimensions needed

Post by Eckhard » Fri May 05, 2017 1:11 pm

Hi All:

I would like to ask a big favor from the community. I would like to buy Stainless steel lines from a Canadian company called APEX Brake but they don't have a pattern for a 1996 brake and clutch lines. I would like to ask if anyone that has any brake lines for a 96 SE laying around if they could take a picture of each end and measure the length. Please have a look at http://www.apexbrakes.com/custom.asp for an idea of the info needed.

TIA
Eckhard

I don't know what kind of pricing you have on the company you mention, but this company already has the lengths and specs at $147 for 2 front and 1 rear brake line. The clutch is about another $45. International shipping is another $29. There is a guy on another forum offering them as a representative, at a discounted price, below the prices listed above. Might be worth checking on, and then no doubts about the fit.

It all comes down to price. I have compared the pricing of HEL vs APEX for one of the other bikes I have and the APEX pricing is lower. Averaging the cost per line $49 versus $30 per line. There is also the added advantage that I save more because I avoid cross border postage. Just trying to make riding more affordable.
