Rear-end rattle at slow speed

Post by kstrauss » Wed Nov 01, 2017 9:51 pm

At slow speed I hear a rattle similar to the noise Ive heard from bad fan bearings coming from somewhere under the passenger seat. I've not been able to find any common thing, it happens most in 2nd, with or with the clutch engaged, braking and not braking, but sometimes in 1st or third....
I could not hear any noise turning the rear wheel when I had the left saddlebag off. The was no play side to side in the wheel/axle.
What's the best way to try to find out what it is? I'll try to get my wife to record the noise with her phone next time we ride.

Wheel bearings?......
It's not what you buy, it's what you build.
