Tape Casette not working

Post by sugarfoot » Wed Nov 01, 2017 10:40 pm

have a GL1500 1998...Tape goes forward / back words for short time. then times out with both arrows showing on display . can't figure what went wrong. Can't use the casette that I put in with pig tail for my MP3. Before I take it apart I marked the tape sprockets to see if they move off there position. Yes they do....any ideas what the problem may be ???
Wish there was a AUX port for the MP3...anyone ever add a port for an MP3??>

The sheriart link which was for a 97 model in this thread does not work unfortunately, but, the one for the 91 model shouldn't be so different.

You might be able to put a bluetooth cassette in and connect to the MP3 player. A thread on here spoke of a unit from Amazon that does that for under $30. PeltonJohn was the member who did the footwork for ya.
