Saddle Bag Cornering Lights

Post by gwjturner » Fri Dec 01, 2017 9:14 pm

I would like to add a set of Saddle Bag cornering/turn signal lights on my 2000 SE like the ones that Cyclemax sells but the sets that are available are for a 97 with the amber lenses. The lenses on my 2000 are white. Is there a matching saddle bag set available in white?

That's because the ones Cyclemax has are aftermarket.

If you want to find a set with the clear turn signal lenses, you're going to have to find a set of used ones - I highly doubt Honda still sells them new. If they do, it's going to be around $140, and the part number is 33790-MAM-A82.

Never saw cornering lights in the saddlebags. Where do they fit and where can you find them? My 92 Interstate has the cornering lights in the lower front fairing and have been modified with super bright LED lights that are on like front 'parking lights' or 'daytime running lights' with the ignition on, and brighten like stop lights (white of course) when I turn on the turn signals for more light on turns at night.

WingAdmin,

Thanks for that part number. I think that number is for the Trunk light though. I'm after replacement white Saddlebag turn signal light housings to replace the stock Saddle Bag reflectors that will match my white trunk turn signals. The parts from Cyclemax will replace the Saddle Bag reflectors with turn signals, but they are amber. I'm unable to find any white lenses for these replacements.

I have these on my GL1500:

Clear lenses
Clear lenses

There are two aftermarket manufacturers that make them. One is Add-On Accessories, theirs have amber lenses. The other is Show Chrome, which makes the white lensed units that I have. You can find them on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Show-Chrome-Acce ... B002T78UEA

Wow! I bought a set of these lights off eBay and they were the amber lenses. BEFORE I bought them, I contacted the seller to verify that the listing picture was indeed correct (white/clear lenses) and was told they were. So now I'm sending them back and still searching................

But, those are not cornering lights. They are turn signals and should have amber light bulbs in them.
The only reason for white lights on the rear of any vehicle is for back-up lamps.
