Digital Screen

Post by Poohman » Fri Feb 09, 2018 10:54 am

Just wondered if there any way to repair the Digital dash display that shows the Radio channel and Time. I have a big Blue Blob covering most of it and did not know if you can repair it or do you have to replace it. If I have to replace it where to I get the replacement.

Thanks.

There is now a company, Tanin Auto Electornix, that will repair your lcd if you send it to them or you can buy the lcd repair piece from them and replace it yourself. Here is a link about them.

AFAIK, the only option is to replace the LCD panel itself - once the liquid crystal starts leaking into a puddle, it's all over. The good news is that replacement LCD panels are available! It wasn't always thus - a year ago, the sole option was to find a used-but-still-not-blobbed panel...most of which cost considerably more than the brand new replacements that are now available. Woohoo!
