Post by bigguy_362001 » Tue Nov 09, 2010 2:26 pm

HI I read some where on here about changing your tires yourself. and using dyna beads to balance them. I would like to does this really work and how many have tried it. if you would just give me your 2 or 3 cents.

I recently did it on my GL1800 and my wifes VT750 and the beads seem to work a treat. I was able to get the tyres of the WEB for a very good price and fit them myself. The beads cost $6 and bingo my balance was taken care off. I have only put a couple of hundred miles on the goldwing, but so far everything is silky smooth.. If you can fit tyres without damaging the alloy rims, I would highly recomend this approach.

Here's what you read:

How to remove and remount your tires

How to install Dyna Beads in your tires

They work brilliantly. You will be amazed at just how smooth they really are.

I installed dyna beads in my front tire when i replaced it. that was almost 7000 miles ago and it still runs very smooth and no cupping at all. they work great if you follow the instructions. See ya on the road.

I also used Dyna beeds when I changed out my rear tire. 2k already and things are running smooth.
There are also lots of youtube videos on changing your MC tire if your not sure.
Get a set of rim protectors and some good tire irons for MC use.
Be carefull of the brake rotor and or mark and remove first.
Yes the windex window cleaner works great as a lube for mounting.
As always enjoy the Ride.

Enjoy the ride. They are all good, just some better than others.
