Ill fitting Tupperware

Postby Fritz The Cat » Sat Dec 04, 2010 7:21 pm

For some reason, the piece that bridges from the shelter to the dash (the piece with the key hole in it) will not seat properly. It wants to pop up at the ignition key end and it's driving me crazy. I've gone over it with a fine toothed comb and cannot, for the life of me, see what's causing this. I'm about ready to crazy glue it in place but thought I'd ask first in case I'm overlooking the obvious. I can see nothing underneath that's obstructing it.

Under the speedo, tack part of dash and where the key shelter meet with eachother , there are 2 tabs that interlock together.
It's not what you buy, it's what you build.

Keith is right and on my bike one of those tabs broke so the flange around the key won't stay down. Hopefully your problem is just getting the flange tabs to seat into its plastic frame.

There's a tab in the center but none on the sides. Guess they broke off. :(
