losing air pressure in the front forks of a 95 GL1500

Postby debbieandmike95 » Sun Jan 09, 2011 2:41 pm

Can anyone tell me if there is a special procedure for rebuilding the air assist shocks on a 1995 GL1500SE, or is it a straightforward seal replacement? I am finding that I am losing all air pressure in the shocks over less than a days riding time.

You might want to check all the air fittings first to make sure the shock is what's losing the air. Spray some soapy water on the air fittings and see if you get any bubbles.

also check the valve, if the core is bad it will not hold air

I put progressive springs in my 1994 aspencade and now there is no air hassle.
