Trailer wiring diagram

Postby kboaz2001 » Wed Feb 02, 2011 4:54 pm

I am completely rewiring my trailer for my 1992 Gold Wing 1500. I would love to have a flat 4 plug coming off of the bike to a trailer. Is this possible, if so, does anybody have the diagrams! Thank you and Blessings.

You'll have to go with a 5 wires plug , unlike cars that has the same wire for brake lights & flashers , on your bike you have flashers & brakes lights seperately , so you'll need 5 wires : 1 ground , 1 parking light , 1 brake light , 1 right flasher , & 1 left flasher .
I tried to do it with my 2000 SE and nothing would work other than a 5 wires plug !!!!

From what I had heard in the past, the U-Haul 5 wire to 4 wire converter works very well and the price is right. But I have never tried to verify that. My set up is still 5 wire through a trailer relay isolation panel bought through electrical Connection.
