front brake switch assembly

My brake indicator lights are not coming on when i depress the front brake so i had it diagnosed and fuses are good so need to replace the switch. Anyone have any dyi step by step? is this an easy task?

I would first check to see if the switch is working before I replaced it. There are two wires to the switch: grn/yel and wht/grn. With lever pulled in there should be continuity, released there should be no continuity. Also you can short the two connectors together to see if the brake light comes on. If so then the switch could just be out of adjustment and not closing when you pull the lever in or it could be bad.
