trunk lights

Postby rlsapp » Thu Apr 07, 2011 8:08 pm

I have a 1997 and the trunk doesn"t light up. It has reflector or standard light that has no lighting kit for bulds. What did I need to change it for a lights to be added. Can I just buy a plug kit and add to the standard trunk, (making holes and doing the wiring). This isn't alot of info., but it would be something to add on the bike, or would I need to buy a complete bulb, light, and wiring kit replacing everything. Share your thoughts.

You can purchase a complete kit with wiring and bulbs for about $20 for use with the current reflectors.
Be advised that bulbs on the kit that came with mine got hot and melted the plastic. I switched them to LED.

Got any recommendations on LEDs?
T5 or T10, plus style?

Thx, Dennis
