CD charger GL1500

Postby pierrot44 » Wed May 04, 2011 12:14 pm

Hi,
I cannot find the connector for the CD charger on my GL1500 SE of 1999. I would like to adapt a module Dension (usb, mp3, Iphone) normally made for GL1800, the connector is probably different but I could make my own adaptor if I know where a CD charger is normally connected. I did look under the seat, there are 2 spare connectors but I do not think they are for this.
Does anyone can help me, photos of connectors on CD charger would be perfect.
Thanks.

I would also like to know the answer to this. Is there a way to hook up a cd player to the 1996 GL1500 SE?
I know that I can use a casset adapter but want to know if there is any other options.
What about the little FM transmitters for Ipods? Has anyone had any luck with using these?
Thanks

Check out this link for 1500's without Aux inputs. Other than wireless or FM modulator this is the only other way to add an input for CD player, Sat radios etc. that I know of. Hope this helps.

I bought a 99 back in March that has a 12 Disk Player mounted in the trunk and it plays through the speakers, however I haven't checked into it to see how they connected it into the sound system. The radio has to be on 89.3 to play a CD. I have it torn apart, so I will check this out this weekend.

You could try http://www.starcom1.com/GoldwingEnhancement.htm to add music to your headphones.
This option doesn't output to the speakers, but you do get various other input options such as Phone, and Bike to Bike. Very easy to install.
I have one on my GL1500SE 94 Canadian edition using a small MP3 player and a Handlebar mounted UHF handheld type 2way radio
