GL1500 CB Repair????

Postby Gold Rush » Thu May 19, 2011 8:27 pm

Does anyone know of a source for repairing the GL1500 CBs? I now have three friends (yes I know that's hard to believe) with worthless CBs. Two will TX but not modulate. The third won't TX most of the time. If he fiddles with the switch it will work one out of a couple hundred tries...

I've looked in the shop manuals they have and can't even find a good diagram of the wiring. If anyone haaccessss to that if might help some.

Thanks in advance.

The only place I can think of that would possibly do it is Sierra Electronics. They have repaired my 1100 CB and AM/FM radio, and are the only people left who will touch the 1100 electronics. I'd give them a shout.

Serra Electronics does in fact do repairs on these units. I just spoke to them on the phone. They seem very helpful..

Thanks again for steering me that direction.
