GL1500 replacement rear shock

Postby giturgun » Tue Jun 07, 2011 5:34 pm

I want to replace the left only (Mechanical ) shock and leave the factory air in place. I would like to use progressive brand since they have always worked fo me. And I have progressive springs in the front tubes now. Problem is 2 fold , which model will be better on the 88 1500.And where can I find a single shock, I tried a local shop and they could only find these in pairs. If necessary I guess I could order a set and sell 1 to a fellow winger .

The Phantom gray is not the fastest wing color , But it has been known to slip by quickly and appear in front of faster colors at times

Contact a trike shop they always have parts left over from conversions. Many times the new trike owner doesn't want the old parts and the shop has them in storage.

Look for the Progressive 450 IAS shock. It is the one to use. Its a bit pricey but I think it is worth the cost.
