Front fork air pressure

Postby OC4648 » Sun Jun 26, 2011 3:48 pm

I have a 1996 GL1500SE. The front forks call for 6 psi of pressure, I have 0 psi. Can these be service with regular air or does it require nitrogen

You use regular air from a small hand pump for suspensions, not compressed air or nitrogen.

There's nothing wrong with running them without any air in them. Mostly it just raises up the front end. I'm short and run mine empty. Many 1500s don't have schrader valves for adding air.
