Need some other eyes , have checked everything in the service manual- fuses, modules, switches, even speedometer cable at front wheel, everything checks good - need HELP before going to dealer.

i just got done replacing a cable on a 1500 and it was broken about 4 inches below where it attaches to the speedometer. i'd unscrew it from the speedometer and see if you can pull the cable out of the casing. if that is ok..then i'd look at the output gear box on the front wheel.

After checking the cable at both ends I found that the cable had snapped at the top end about 4" from the speedometer gauage connecter. There is a slight bend where it connects to the guage and where the cable pressure is.

Thanks very much 3W- Lone Rider for your quick responce to my speedometer problem .

your welcome..glad you found it..and that cable should only be about 30 bucks..very easy to replace to..took me probably 5 minutes..toughest part was getting my big hands back where it screws to the back of the speedometer and getting the new one started.
