Timing Advance Wheel

I'm interested in installing a Timing Advance Wheel on my '88 GL1500. Does anyone have a "step by step" on installing one of these. here is a link to the item I am referring too:

i think that the timing belts have to come off to install the trigger wheel
'99 ST1100, '93 se
