i am wanting to install a gps mount on my 97 wing, i have a tom tom, all the mounts i see that bolt up look like they would hit the windshield when turning is there a mount that works best, i see a lot of waterproof mounts out there also, which way to go

I also have a Tom Tom and the mount is on the right handlebar, and it doesn't hit the windshield when turning sharp. I do not believe it is waterproof. I also have a sun visor on mine, to help me see it better.

Put a RAM mount on the left side on mine. Works great.

RAM works great for me. Right handlebar. Tulsa windshield. Adjusts easily to stay out of the way.

Dear Wardencaro

I had a bracket made from aircraft grade aluminum to the exact dimensions of the Goldwing badge that sits just below the ignition switch. I also had it powder coated black. The total cost came to about $60. The TomTom Rider 2 was then fitted with the use of a RAM kit. The GPS now sits in my line of sight and does not obstruct my view of any instrument or warning light. Take a look ...
