If you are thinking of building your own hitch think about it for awhile. I know the pride of DIY but the cost not to mention risk involved is, to me, not worth the effort. I realy got into this project but after researching the type and size of the materal to use, building skills needed and over all cost made this a big no go. I instead took my time and waited for the gods of recycled parts to shine on me and was able to find not one but two of the needed part and for under $100.00 including postage. In short look before you leap into this project. My opinion only.( Where's spell check on this thing?)

Old Age! Did you see my picture? I'm setting, all fat, dumb and happy in Piney River Virginia, eating a chitterling and enjoying it. THAT my friend is old age.
