Max Weight

Hello does anyone know the maximum weight a GL1500 will carry according to the manual?

I think it's going to depend a bit on the year (I think), but the 1989 manual says maximum weight capacity is 408 lb.

The GL1500 Manual for years '88 thru '00 reads: The combined weight of the rider, passenger, cargo, and additional accessories must not exceed the maximum weight capacity: 185kg (408 lbs.). Cargo weight alone should not exceed 60 lbs.
Do not exceed maximum capacity load of Honda accessories.
Travel trunk 9kg ( 20 lbs.)
Saddlebags 9 kg ( 20 lbs.) each side
Fairing pockets 2kg ( 5 lbs.) each side

That leaves 348 lbs for rider and passenger. :shock: Yeah right! ;)
