Case Guard Chrome Insert help

Postby Captain422 » Tue Oct 11, 2011 10:54 pm

Here is photo of a chrome insert in the case guard ( Marked GL 1500/6). Someone in my apartment complex decided they needed them more than I did, and helped themselves to them. I hope they enjoy them, however, I have not been able to find replacements online. Does anyone know where I might find new replacements for them?
Thanks in advance for your help.

robb, Thanks for the reply, but the parts I am missing are in the case guard/crash bars and are a little to left of the part you refer to in the photo. They actually have a gold strip with GL 1500/6 on them.
Thank you for your effort to help.

You mean the valve cover accessory covers with opening vent.
The only set of those covers I ever seen just sold on ebay. I quit at $70 and think they went for over a hundred, plus shipping. My color too.

robb -Yes, you are probably more correct with the name, and they did have the vents on them. I bought the bike with them on it and didn't know what they were called. I guess I will just have to keep my eyes open for them on ebay also. I liked them and would like to have another set. Thank you for taking them time to reply. :D

I call them crash guard fillers. They are rarer than hen's teeth.

jsalpha2, are those from a bike you own or were they listed on ebay?

Those were on E-Bay a while back. I bid on them, but lost.
