trans nuetral light

Postby jschall » Tue Oct 25, 2011 4:37 pm

started my gl1500 the other day just to let it run for awhile. backed it out of the garage just by rolling it and shut off. when i went to drive it back inside the nuetral light did not come on so would not start. played with the shifter for awhile with no luck. anyone have any ideas why the nuetral light may have quit with out even shifting the tranny?

I don't know if the neutral light is affected, but every time I've heard of a GL1500 "won't start after reversing" type problem, it's been the switch associated with the reverse lever. Give the reverse lever a good wiggle and make sure it's well and true back in the forward position, see if it makes any difference.

Just jockey the reverse lever back and forth a few times rapidly and all should be OK.
