hard time shifting into neutral

Post by gwestfall » Mon Jan 09, 2012 10:58 pm

I'm having a hard shifting into neutral with the engine running. I have rebuilt the master cylinder, slave and replaced the lines. I can shift into neutral with the engine off. Any suggestion what to try next?

It sounds like the clutch is dragging very badly, that can either be due to air in the hydraulic lines (You need to bleed them more) or sometimes due to the engine oil. If it didn't have this problem before you overhauled the system, my first guess would be that you still have air trapped in the system somewhere.. It might be worth trying to bleed the system from the bottom if you have the necessary tools..
