vacation site help

Postby dabalso » Thu Mar 01, 2012 6:28 pm

I need your help. My bride and I are planning a trip from Arkansas down to near Dallas then up to eastern Oklahoma. We want to see scenery. Neither of us are into tourist attractions. Since we have a trike, twistees are not important.
We are wondering if anyone can suggest some special places we could see. We only have 10 days total.
Thanks for any suggestions.
:)

That is an area that I haven't ridden. Sorry. What I do when I plan a trip in an area that I don't know much about is, (1) Plot a basic route. Usually Google maps. As I look at the segments on the map, I do another search of the towns along the route.
(2) I find all kinds of things to see and do. I then decide how much time to spend in each area.
(3) I then go to a few other bike related sites and ask for information. Sport_touring.net is a great site with a lot of activity and divided into regions.
(4) I then narrow down the time frame and choices into the time I have.
Good luck and have a great time.

Here is another website that may give you a combination of roads and places to visit.
