Heres a pictorial from Fred's site. He sells a DVD set for 1800 maintenance also. If its an 07 the whole dash comes off differently. Theres a pictorial over on gl1800riders.com that shows how. It takes a couple of hours to change and if you have less than 25,000 miles on the filter I wouldnt waste the time. I changed mine out at 25,000 and it probabbly could have gone another 10-15,000 miles.

Do a search for Steve Sanders goldwing air filter change video. He has a pretty good video. You can probably find it on youtube also. One thing it doesn't show is putting screens over the air duct intakes. If have seen pictures (also saw one that I helped change in person yesterday) full of all kinds of things that mice had dragged into the top of the filter and built a nest. Take the screens (2 layers) off of the old filter. Put one of the layers on each of the air intake ducts securing with zip ties to keep them out. Don't forget to plug back in the radio antenna. Many have forgot and had to take the shelter back off. Also the big control module on top ofthe filter can be slid off it's mount and laid toward the back of the bike to keep from unplugging some of the plugs.
