Handlebar gauge lights

Postby trikeman II » Thu Mar 15, 2012 12:52 am

I have a 2002 GL 1800 Goldwing, does the handlebar switches lightup at night when you ride? I just bought the bike and rode it last night and noticed that the switchs and buttons on the handlebars didn't light up. It made it very difficult to see where all the curse control and turn signals and revers switches was...... H E L P !!!! trikeman ll

"curse" control? LOL! That would have to be a pretty LARGE button! But no, they don't light up, but there are kits out there that you can get to change all that, can't remember who makes it.

I think it was the 2006 and onwards models that have some form of glowing labels/writing for the switchgear, but a 2002 definately does not.. Just push a button and when it's the wrong one, push that curse button and try again.. :D

Do they light-up on a 2012? Because I am almost ready to sign on the dotted line.

They did't light up till the 2004 mod.
