where are the drain and filler plugs for an oil change on an 2006 Honda GL1800?

I'd suggest downloading the GL1800 Owner's Manual from the "Manuals" page. It is for the 2003, but for what you're looking for, nothing has changed. Instructions on checking and changing the oil start on page 126.

filter can be found at the front of the engine, left side if you are sitting on the bike...drain plug is below and closer to the center of the block...oil filler is located behind the ride side cover, just above and forward of the rear brake pedal.

i just wanted to be sure of which plug was for the oil drain.

If its the stock drain plug, it should be a 17mm ; some aftermarket magnetic plugs are a 13
