Battery Location on a 2007

Postby cfennell1832 » Sat Jun 02, 2012 3:35 pm

It would seem that "my now" would be wife has miss-placed my manual and I am unsure how to get into the battery location to re-charge my 2007 GL1800, or to find out the voltage of the battery to be sure i'm charging it correctly.
Any one have any photo's on line that I can look at to get my battery charged (while I wait for what could be a very long time for the little woman to remember what she did with my manual).... CF

1. Go buy a Battery Maintainer( not a charger)
2. Remove seat.
3. Install Maintainer harness and route it to a place of your choice, where you can then plug in the maintainer without having to remove any parts again from the bike. Mine is zip tied to the passenger grab rail.
4. Reinstall you seat.
5. Plug the maintainer into your bike and into a wall outlet.
It will now bring the battery up to full charge and will keep it there! Mine gets plugged in every time I park the bike in the garage.

Gear shift lever side of bike (left side while sitting on it), just ahead of the saddlebag, there is a panel that pulls off. That is where your battery is.
It ain't about the destination - it's all about the journey

If you can figure how to upload photos you won't have any problem maintaining your battery.
P.S. I love that color blue.
