2007 1800 heated seats/grips not heating

Postby cbhon » Thu Feb 11, 2010 1:54 pm

Hi everyone from down under. Can someone please point me where to start looking. My heated grips and seats are not working on my 2007 1800.
Any help will be much appreciated.
Regards.

Do you have removed your seat and dit you forget to connect the wiring? If the wiring on your seat is not connected then the heated grips ar not working.

Hi Stoker,
What a dummy I am. As soon as I saw your post I remembered taking off the seat last week but I couldn't remember connecting up the heated seat connection. Sure enough I removed the seat this morning and there was the culprit. All's fine again. Many thanks,
Kindest regards,
John S.

OK, I had the same issue and its a common Gl issue! Get an ohm Meter and check the grips. Usually the right grip goes out, at least its more common than the left!

Heres the downer! The Connectors are buried under the Shelter.

Hope that helps !

The post above yours is from the original poster giving thanks for solving the problem...it was the seat being unplugged.
