Flashers don't stay on???

Post by teasac69 » Thu Jul 12, 2012 9:57 pm

Just got my 05 1800A and the emergency flashers work when you push the button but they will not stay on when I remove my finger from the button. Doesn't "catch" or whatever it's supposed to do. Anyone had that problem?? got a fix?

Just sounds like a bit of dirt stopping it. Use a small tube (most seem to carry it on the can) to spray some lubricating oil into it, that should cure it. It happens to most of us at some stage as its one of the buttons rarely used. If it doesn't work then you may have to take it out but generally that is what it is.

Not lubricating oil, but electrical contact cleaner.
