Newbie needs some help Please

Post by Steelman_55 » Thu Jul 19, 2012 9:40 pm

I have a 2003 Goldwing 1800 trike and everything was working fine until I parked it after a good ride and now it is completely dead. I have no lites what soever or anything else. I have checked the battery and it is good. Also when all this happened I can't open my trunk with the key or the remote. I was wandering if the trunk issue could have anything to do with this. Any help would be appreciated because all this is new to me. Thanks all and happy riding!!!!!

I don't think the truck issue has anything to do with it. You say the battery is good, so I would check all the fuses and then the grounding wires first. Make sure the wires at the battery are tight and not loose.

Ride Safe Always!!!

As Bamaeagle says, it sounds like you have lost power (and that will stop the trunk from operating). You need to be checking the battery connections and the connections from the negative battery terminal to the frame, the positive lead connection to the starter relay and the main fuse.. I suspect a fuse has failed, but the questions will be, what caused it to blow?? Good luck finding the issue.
