Replacing GL1800 mirror housing

Postby ksdalet » Thu Jul 19, 2012 11:31 pm

Due to a bad install of chrome accents on the mirror mounts, the plastic case was damaged. I ordered new parts but am not sure how to remove and replace the plastic case and amber lens.
Anyone have info or video on this?
thanx

Here is a video of how to install Muth signal mirrors. It tells how to take the regular mirrors apart. Hope this helps!

That part I got. It is taking off the housing and lens and replacing that I am not quite sure of.
Thanks for the video. :D

Talked to a GW tech today and he showed me how to do the job. Not as complicated as I thought. Thanks to Clarence at Mid America Powersports in Wichita KS.
