Brake light not working from the front lever on my 2001 Wing. I ordered a new switch that goes under the front brake lever. Am I going in the right direction? Swith won't be in for a week.

Do you have power going to the switch? If you jump acros the switch does the light come on? If both answers are yes then you are on the right track. If either answer is no, then you have a electrical problem, possibly burnt fuse or bad connection, where it will need more inspection.

You can try cleaning the two switches (cruise cancel and brake lights), but replacement is usually required. Connectors are different sizes so they can't be connecter incorrectly. Make sure your brake lever is lined up properly with the switch when it is installed.
