CB RADIO SWR ISSUE

Anyone run into a problem of not being able to tune the SWR for CB radio? Have the meter, followed all previous post instructions, but cannot get reading below 5!

There are to many factors that cause what you are experiencing to speculate over the forum!
Do you have a CB shop (many are located at truck stops) near you :?:
Time for a professional to check it out!
Do not "key" the mic until you get this fixed! Very easy to "burn out" the finals in the radio!
I know this sounds stupid but, make sure you have the SWR meter connected in the correct direction

5 (above mid-scale) usually signals an open circuit or short circuit in the antenna or cable. Can you get an ohm-meter on the cable to check it out?

I assume you do not need glasses like I do, so it is not 1.5 (below midscale) you are experiencing :-)
