1800 Rear Load Shock

Postby Winger1996 » Sun Mar 07, 2010 1:36 pm

Are they the same from 2001 till. My 01 is bad thoguth about picking 08-10 model up from triked units, always on E-bay and semi cheap. I can do job but want to make sure they are same. I see they are different Part numbers from 06 up but they may just be making a better unit.

To my knowledge, they are the same...I'm assuming you plan to just swap the shock and spring, and not the preload adjuster? If so, you'll need a spring compressor to remove the adjuster from your exsiting assembly. If you are going through all that trouble and have the means, I'd suggest a new shock and heavier spring from traxxion dynamics:

I think it's worth every penny, and if you're gonna go through the trouble of removing the gas tank to get to it, it would be a great improvement.
