Front wheel removal airbag model

Postby spitfire9au » Wed Dec 26, 2012 9:46 pm

I'm in wanting to clean corrosion and polish my wheels and this would be a lot easier with the wheels removed from the bike. Searched everywhere I can think of and can't find any instruction about the airbag sensors. Does anyone know if there are any special precautions that need to be taken with the airbag system? Everything else seems pretty straightforward.

Thanks,
Jeff.

If all you are doing is removing the wheels, then no - nothing special. I have had the both wheels off mine for tire replacement and cleaning, and the air bag sensors did not play a part at all.
It ain't about the destination - it's all about the journey

Thanks for that. Thought that was the case but good to know for sure.
Job done.
