How do you open the heater vents on a 2006 1800?

On the '08 there is a lever on the left side of the fairing, just above the storage pocket. It says Open - Closed but does not say what it is for. Not sure if the '06 is the same.

If you mean the toe warmers on the lower exhaust covers, it is the lever just above the left cubby box. Also, only the models w/the Comfort system have these toe warmers.
If you mean the vents in the fairings in front of your legs, use a finger on the protuding tab on the center "shutter" to pry up(open).
Be aware the ones on the fairing are useless. There is no air routed to them anymore!

Thank you both. The lever above the cubby is the windshield clasp lever -- can't find any other lever.

We were not talking about the windshield levers, which work up and down, one on each side!
The lever we told you about would be just above the left cubby and moves left to right!
So, apparently you do not have the comfort system which, by the way, includes heated grips and heated seat.

Thank you again! Obviously I do not have the comfort system! Just bought it and ordered the manual, but haven't received it yet.
