2006 nav aud com electical issues

Postby jadandane » Thu Mar 14, 2013 6:16 pm

bought an 06 two months ago with no manual...went to ride today and my trailer lights didnt work....came back home and checked the plug and have the pertinent voltages at all pins... except for the running and brake...they are both constant voltage??? is this normal...because i still dont have trailer lights....was thinking maybe theres a relay of some kind on the hannigan sierra trailer to seperate these two signals....while troubleshooting this issue i'd had the key on for about fifteen minutes and noticed my display and radio was not on...turned it to acc and the radio and display came back on....so i turned the key back to on and the radio and display went back off....now whether in the on or acc position i have no radio and no display............any thoughts guys

Bad battery perhaps? If it is the original, it is likely. Other than that, it could be the trailer wiring, fuses, relays - lots of things.
It ain't about the destination - it's all about the journey
