No problems and just one recall, which was for all GL1800s. They all had a recall for the secondary slave brake cylinder. Inspection at a dealership takes only a few minutes. They should be able to tell you from the VIN number if it has been done or not.
It ain't about the destination - it's all about the journey

If it has a build in GPS. Don't invest any money for updates. It's a waste of money.

If the recall hasn't been done, and you have more than one dealership in your area, call around and try to find one that has the part needed for the fix in stock. Otherwise, you may ending up parking it with them till they get the part. They can't force you to leave your bike till it comes in, (you own it), but they will most likely try to if they don't have the part in stock.

sad day, i had to let the 08 go as my attorneys led me to believe i would be getting almost 12,000 in the final settlement but am only getting 5000 due to some medical not covered. so i need to look for someting in the 9-10000 range. the 08 owner was holding it for me but when i told him he said he had two others waiting.

Sorry to hear about the deficit due to medical expenses.. Any 1800 goldwing is going to be good and you should be able to find one in your price range. I would personally recommend trying to find a model after 2006, I have a 2004 and there was a recall for frame cracking (required additional welding to the frame, etc), in 2006 Honda changed the instrument layout a little and added additional ducting and controls, from 06 to 10, the bikes hardly changed, so I would suggest looking for a 2006 or newer model if you can. I love my 2004 and once all the recalls are done they are safe bikes, but it's a lot of hassle to get the recalls done if they haven't already been dealt with. I hope you find one soon, the good weather is coming (or so I am told!! )

Go over to the gl1800riders.com website and then go to the classified section. This forum seems to have the most used wings for sale.
