Tail light relays

Is it possible for the tail light relay to go bad. I seem to have one that did. :|

Yes, they can go bad.

Yes, I use a 9 volt battery on the primary side terminals and listen for the relay to close or an OHM meter can be used to check for continuity on the secondary side.

You can also swap it with another relay that controls something different that you know is working.

Keep in mind the problem may not be with the relay, but with the contacts of the relay and/or its socket.
