GL1800 Navi system
Hi guys,
Does anybody know how I can get my Navigation/GPS system on my 2008 GL1800 working? I initialized the GPS system and put in my home location on it. But I can only get the map part on it. If I try to enter a destination or route, it wont give me the state and it won't let me enter a street name. I have read the manual to no avail.
Please help as I am lost.
thanks,
Big "R"

Thanks Wetumpka,
How do I do that? Can I just go to Wing World's website and look for that article?
Thanks again,

You can go to www.gwrra.org and click on Wing World. You can use the temporary user
name trip and password planning. You then go to the achieves and
search for December of 2009. I hope this helps.

Wetumpka,
Is there any way to get your name in the gold book without joining GWRAA? I am not interested in paying $40+ a year for the magazine, but would be very happy to have my name in the gold book and help out anyone that was in Austin needing help?

Re: GL1800 Navi system
Webumpka is cute, but spelling is important, Wetumpka is a town in Alabama, and is also a local Indian tribes name. As to getting your name in the Goldwing book and not being a Gwrra member you would have to ask your local Club director, you can find his name and phone number in the GWRRA book. But one of the benefits of being a member of GWRRA is the friendship of the Goldwing members. i have found them to be a great group of people. Look them up, go to a meeting, you don't have to ride the Wing to be a member, but you sure look good and the ride is probably the best in the world of motorcycles.

2006-2008 navigation updates are now available thru Garmin. Just go to Garmin/Gold Wing for the new CF cards, 2011 map update.
