Please help identify electrical connector! (2001 GL1800A)

Postby wclaus1 » Sat May 17, 2014 2:36 pm

I took the shelter off of my 2001 GL1800A a few weeks ago in order to get to all the wiring and change a broken cruise control button in the right hand switch.
Thanks to Steve Saunders youtube video about changing the air filter, which gave me insight in taking all the plastics off.
Anyway, when I got the right hand switch assy. apart, I found that the throttle cables were frayed and half the wires broken.
I ordered replacement throttle cables, but once I got them I was swamped at work and the job looked very daunting for me so I took it to the local dealer with the shelter still removed.
I am now back to it 3 weeks later and can't find a matching wire/connector to plug into #1 in the photo.
#2 and #3 go to the radio package in the shelter and #4 goes to the MODE/TRIP/DISP. buttons.
What I should have done was mark and take pics of everything, but I didn't and now I'm hosed.

Can someone please tell me where connector #1 goes? It has 3 rows of pins, 5+5+3, total 13.
Is it possible the dealer buried the wire under the fuel tank or something when working on the throttle cables?
Thanks for any assistance.

Most likely the trunk mounted CD player.

I think it goes the the CB radio if you have one. If not it is just tucked away.

Thank you.
I don't have the CD player or CB, so I was hoping that it didn't connect to anything.

It's for the CB. The CD changer connects with a 14 pin connector:

CB and CD connectors
CB and CD connectors
