Help needed with JM cb mic install on 07 1800

Postby fkiehner » Sun May 18, 2014 4:42 am

Just received my JM CB microphone and the instructions say to locate the 2 wire PTT cable under the seat in the area of the relay box. Only thing I can locate is the 3 wire power line for the CB.
Traced harnesses coming from unit in trunk and one goes to the power and the other goes front to handle bar switch assy. I am not able to locate a separate PTT cable on my bike.
Had the CB installed when I purchased the wing in 07.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

It is buried a little bit. It's shown in the picture below as C30. You will find it inside a black rubber boot, along with another connector. The rubber boot is often pushed down behind the relays - follow the passenger intercom wire and you should find it.
