I have a 2009 GL1800 Deluxe. How do I change the air filter?

Freds dvds are one of the best presents you can give to your bike.

Do keep in mind that the process is slightly different on your bike compared to the youtube video...the 05 and older must have the speaker grilles removed and some allen screws removed before the meter panel comes off...on the 06+ bikes the meter panel just pulls off, it's held in by some clips. Don't forget to undo the wires to the tweeter speakers as you remove the meter panel trim. The rest of the process is the same.

Also, because the screws for the shelter are different lengths, I would work out a way to keep track of them...I draw a template in some cardboard and push the screws into the cardboard where they would go on the bike so I don't lose them...other people number them, any way is good just make sure you put each screw back in its original place.

That's assuming that the allen screws in the shelter (under the cowl molding... that's what Honda calls the 'easily broken trim') are in the correct position when you get to them. They are easy to remember... the top 3 are 5mm threaded screws.
The top screw (or #1) allen screw is a 5x12mm allen.
The 2nd one down from the top has longer threads (5x19mm). It's longer because it has to go through 2 layers of plastic.
The 3rd one down is the same as the top (or #1) screw.
The bottom allen is a 6mm threaded screw.
