Please Help! Trouble in GL 1800 (2001) coils

Postby honda » Thu Jan 29, 2009 3:09 am

First, sory for my very poor english.
I got trouble with all coils (My engine cannot start at all).
I check out the battere and all wiring components and no problem.
I tried to check out the "GL 1800 service manual" (downloaded from this site), but i cannot solve the problem.

I can attach some photograph of my GL 1800 this forum if needed.

There are no spark at all in all plugs (three plugs). Coil voltage is good.
BTW, can i upload some photos here? I hope i can illustrate the problem with my goldwings' photos.

Thanks

You can add attachments - at the bottom of the page when you are writing your message, you should see "upload attachment" which will allow you to upload images.

usually the battery is the fault in this case even if it turns the engine over, it may not be enough to start
is the battery 3 or more years old?
check voltage while cranking if it goes down to about 10 or 10.5 probably bad battery
