I have a 2003, my first Goldwing, and my first post. I used my reverse to back into my garage and noticed it seemed week. Next morning it wouldn't start, just clicked. Had battery tested, it was good. Cleaned battery connections, nothing but clicks( relays). Replaced battery, started right up. Put bike together it still started. Took car to get registration and insurance, came back to get bike for safety inspection, wouldn't start, just click. No reverse (have light). Cleaned start/reverse switch, no luck. Checked battery 12.9, still clicks. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I feel your pain. I have an '02 doing the same, Check the neg cable on right side of engine above dip stick. It is attached to reverse actuator switch and see if it is tight. I have determined my problem is starter relay. I just ordered two on ebay for $7.60 each. I know they are cheap but will be a cheap fix or cheap trouble shooting method. Clean your start and reverse switches with contact cleaner. Good luck. If you have success, let me know. I will do the same.
Thanks Buffdaddy55,I tried that, no luck. Sorry it has been so long (remodeling a bathroom also). I checked my relays, all good. Did continuity checks on wires, all good. The manual had me check the reverse switch on the side of the engine, by the dip stick. pulled it out and did continuity check, no go. Wow have I found the problem. No telling. Went online to find part but no luck. The switch looks like the neutral switch but I can't find the part. Very frustrating.
