the starter is turning slow. The battery is good, the starter is getting full voltage and grounded. could the timing being off cause the starter to turn slow? Im chasing my tail

You ave no chose, pull hot the starter and go to see this adress, and make all this check. OK !!!
You check how many amps the starter pull on the batterie.

definitely don't think its a timing issue with what you describe...being a 2002, if you have positively verified the battery is good with testing equipment and voltmeters, my guess is a new starter is in your future.
