GL1800 Driving / Fog Light

Postby OldBrit » Thu Apr 30, 2015 12:02 pm

I am in the process of fitting a twin 10w LED light cluster purchased from ebay (item # 400801027018
). I know lots of people out there have done similar instals and I have a couple of questions.

Firstly where can I buy the plugs needed to plug the lights directly into the wiring harness, I have look high and low, including the local Honda dealer, but am unable to locate them.
Secondly can anyone share any instruction on opening up the switch panel and wiring in a jumper so that the lights remain on at all times?

I am making notes as I go and producing drawings for the brackets so once finished if anyone considers doing similar units I should have all the info.

Thanks in advance for any info / pointers you can provide.

Try this outfit to see if you can get the exact connector to match into the Wing wiring system. They have several different types.

or this site too:

Between the two you should find connectors. Can't help much with the other.

Thanks Guy's. I'll be confirming exactly which ones are needed and then post to let everyone know.

Found the fog light connector after removing the aux control panel in the left hand fairing. As I intend having lights on permanently I cut off connector. Brown / White is the 12v supply. This is spliced to the Brown / Blue lead which route power via the loom to the fog light plugs at the front of the bike..

I too bought from Eastern Beaver. He's a great guy to deal with. He'll have what you need.
