I need to replace the front tire before I leave on my trip to Cleveland and it was suggested that I use a Bridgestone Excedera instead of the E-3 that I currently have mounted. My question is; will the fact that I have an E-3 with many more miles left on it on the rear make any difference in the way the bike handles?

Unlike others that have posted I have no problems with the E-3s being noisy, I have not noticed it.. I have always had good wear with them also.

I very seldom ever change both at the same time.In fact I try to do one end one year and one the next just to keep the cost down. They don't usually wear at the rate anyway.Mixing and matching is done all the time also,so I wouldn't worry about it.

Saying all that though I'm running a CT on the back and a BT45(rear tire) on the front of my 1800 and at this point it doesn't look like they'll ever wear out.
If I'da known it would last this long,I'da taken better care of it.
